Heavy solitons in a fermionic superfluid?

Description
The title of the talk (apart from the question mark) is borrowed from the paper by Yefsah et. al. (Nature 499, 426-430 (2013), 10.1038/nature12338) where experimental evidence for anomalously slow moving solitons in ultracold trapped fermionic gases is presented. Recent papers (arxiv.org/1307.3717), (arxiv.org/abs/1308.1691), (arxiv.org/abs/1309.7012) question this interpretation and build up the case that the slow dynamics are a consequence of the formation of a different kind of topological object -- vortex rings.
