Description |
High energy physics communities are trying to build next generation e+e− linear collider at the center of mass energy (pS) upto 1 TeV. Out of many design of ILC calorimeter, scintillator (coupled with Silicon Photomultiplier, SiPM) is one option for the active material of electromagnetic and hadron calorimeters. The SiPM is in development phase and expected to have performance as good as conventional photomultiplier tube, but with very low cost. In this talk I will cover characteristics of SiPM as well as performance of scintillator detector with this device. |
