Description |
Topology studies objects which are locally simple but globally complicated. An important class of such objects are fiber bundles, which are globally `twisted'. The simplest example is a Mobius band. The amount of global twist is quantified by algebraic invariants. This talk will give an elementary introduction to the subject of Fiber Bundles and their invariants. (This talk is intended for the VSRP students of School of Mathematics). |
