The 38th International Cosmic Ray Conference (ICRC2023) was held from July 26 to August 3, 2023, at Nagoya University in Japan. The ICRC is the main biennial conference in the field of astroparticle physics. At ICRC2023, the number of in-person and online participations was about 1100 and 300, respectively, representing 54 countries, with a total of 1519 contributions; this is the record maximum in the history of the ICRC series. The conference program included eight scientific sessions: 1. Cosmic ray physics (direct), 2. Cosmic ray physics (indirect), 3. Gamma ray astronomy, 4. Neutrino astronomy & physics, 5. Solar and heliospheric physics, 6. Dark matter physics, 7. Multimessenger and gravitational wave, and 8. Outreach & education. In this seminar, I will provide a selective overview of the cosmic ray sessions, including the contributions from the GRAPES-3 experiment.
