Description
The developments in geometry and arithmetic i.e. Number Theory ran parallel for
many centuries until Descartes appeared on the scene and showed how algebra can be
pressed into the service of geometry. But things work the other way too: Geometry
has had a decisive role in proving theorems in number theory. In this talk, I will
illustrate this by a simple example: the determination of all Pythagorean triplets
of integers.

[This talk is primarilly meant for the VSRP Maths. students]
