Description
A brief overview of physics at the energy, luminosity and cosmic frontiers in particle physics will be provided. Technological advancements have played a critical role in this journey and in the process have opened up new vistas for fundamental physics. A synergy in these advancements may lead to new ways of exploring Dark Matter. Results from satellite based particle physics experiments such as AMS (Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer) and DAMPE (Dark Matter Particle Explorer) have started impacting our understanding of nature, and this will be brought out in brief. We shall take a look at the existing experimental capabilities within the institute that may be harnessed to build such state-of-the-art experiments in the future.
