Description
The cross section measurement of the Higgs boson (H) pair production, which is a rare process in the Standard model (SM), provides an excellent probe to evaluate the role of the SM Higgs boson in the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism. In search for new physics, a search for resonant Higgs boson pair production in gluon-gluon fusion reaction is undertaken using proton-proton collision data from LHC at sqrt (s) = 13 TeV recorded by the CMS detector in 2017, which corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 41.5 fb-1. In this talk, I would be presenting the current status of the analysis performed for HH—> 4W —> 3(l v) + 2jets channel, where l represents an electron or a muon.
