Description
Given a region in a euclidean space under what conditions, say on its shape, size etc, can we conclude that it must contain a point with integer coordinates ? This problem is relevant in various contexts and has been attacked through various techniques. We shall discuss some of the techniques and results on the problem.
(This talk is primarilly meant for the VSRP students of the School of Maths.)
