Description
The Heavy Ion Laboratory is a research unit of University of Warsaw. For years nuclear structure studies with COULEX have been an important part of experimental activity at the Warsaw cyclotron facility. But not only: Heavy ion Laboratory is a place to preform challenging experiments - highlights of the scientific and educational program will be presented.
But in the modern COULEX experiments very weak effects can be explored only with use of a new highly efficient detector systems like AGATA or PARIS. Studies of super-deformation in a vicinity of 40Ca are a good example of ambitious project for a world-wide scientific collaboration.
