Description Forget the 18 feet long monstrous king cobra, some of the planet’s fiercest predators are minuscule organisms that kill with poison…or is it venom…or a toxin? Let us unravel the differences between poisons, venoms, and toxins and find out the science behind how they kill. Once we discover the secret of isolating poisons from simple everyday things, we shall use them as ingredients to brew the deadliest “poison potion”. Lets make things simple and less toxic !!!

About the speaker: Asmita Sarkar is a researcher in the Department of Biological Sciences who is interested in studying the transport of proteins in the nerve cells of the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster and the development of it's central nervous system.
