TIPP 2021 is the fifth Technology and Instrumentation in Particle Physics conference in the new series of international conferences in the field of particle physics sponsored by IUPAP. The program focuses on all areas of detector development and instrumentation in particle physics, astro-particle physics and closely related fields. The host institute was TRIUMF, Canada, but due to the pandemic, this was held virtually on 24-29 May 2021. There were 24 invited talks and about 200 contributory talks in parallel sessions. Also about 200 contributions were presented in the poster sessions. I will try to summarise those in this presentation, with the focus on future experiments and new technologies.
