Description
This talk focuses on two topics: the analysis of Z+jet events and the identification of large-radius jets in a supersymmetric (SUSY) context. The first part examines how proton-proton collisions lead to the production of Z bosons and jets, utilizing the particle flow and anti-𝑘T jet clustering algorithms in the CMS experiment. To understand jet formation and properties, we explore a key aspect namely the momentum balancing between the Z boson decaying to two muons and a hadronic jet recoiling against it. The second part transitions to identifying large-radius jets as SUSY signatures using the TChiHH model. We evaluate the effectiveness of ParticleNet and SoftDrop algorithms in tagging Higgs boson jets. The results demonstrate improved resolution at higher transverse momentum bins and suggest the use of advanced jet tagging techniques to enhance SUSY searches. These insights contribute to a better understanding of jet reconstruction and the search for physics beyond the Standard Model.
