Description
In condensed matter physics our aim is to understand how complex organizations of electrons arise from simple interactions and how these novel ground states determine a materials' properties. I will show through a remarkable connection with ultracold atoms in optical lattices it is now possible to emulate complex materials in a completely new setting that is highly tunable and gives deep insights into fundamental properties of many body interacting systems.
