Hunt for the Sterile Neutrinos: Present Status and Future Prospects

First I will review the indications in favor of short-baseline
neutrino oscillations, which require the existence of one or more
sterile neutrinos. Then I will present the results of fits of
short-baseline neutrino oscillation data in 3+1 and 3+2 neutrino
mixing schemes. Finally I will discuss some powerful future probes to
pin down the issue of sterile neutrino oscillation.
