Description |
ABSTRACT: The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector is one of the two multipurpose experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) of CERN. The colloquium will remind about the design parameters, picturesquely walk through the construction phase and present a brief selection of performance results focusing on objects that lead to the Higgs discovery. I will conclude with the glimpse of what lies ahead. |
