Description
In this talk I will discuss about the changes in the magnetic ordering of certain bismuth based manganites Bi1-xAxMnO3 (A = Ca or Sr) when we reduce their particle size to nano scale and the spin dynamics of the permalloy plain thin film and ring lattices. In the first part of my talk, I will focus on the magnetic and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) studies of Bi1-xCaxMnO3 (x = 0.4, 0.6, 0.75, 0.9) and Bi1-xSrxMnO3 (x = 0.8) and their comparison with the behavior of the respective bulk samples. I will explain how the magnetic ordering changes when we go to nanoscale in these samples. I will discuss about the suppression of charge ordering as the size reduces and the antiferromagnetism in bulk which gives way to ferromagnetism in nanoparticles. At the end, I will talk about the ferromagnetic resonance study of permalloy rings with different inner diameters.
