Description
Abstract:
Open shell phenalenyl chemistry started more than 50 years back and the first solid state phenalenyl radical was realized only 15 years ago. Alternatively, in recent years, we have developed a stable closed shell phenalenyl that has tremendous potential to create in situ open shell state by external spin injection. In this way we have prepared a new route to closed shell phenalenyl based organometallic catalysts for various organic transformations, organocatalysts and molecular spin memory devices. In this presentation, I shall emphasize on our recent effort in developing novel electroactive materials for one compartment membraneless H2O2 fuel cells.
