We generalize the concept of critical coupling and coherent perfect absorption to Kerr nonlinear systems. We show that the typical resonances of the systems can be controlled by power. Further, suitable saturable nonlinearity is shown to limit the unphysical divergence of the scattering amplitude in a PT-symmetric system. We present a brief overview of the nonlinear PT symmetric systems leading to perfect isolation/diode action. |
