As the name implies, e-waste is generated from old and obsolete electronic
and electrical equipment. e-waste is one of the fastest growing streams of
waste that started severely affecting the world population. The speaker
will describe technologies and methods adopted at EcoCentric to recycle
the e-waste. The talk will conclude by mentioning some of the best
practices of e-waste management from around the world.

About Mr. Karan Thakkar:

After a 3-year stint at KPMG as a business advisor, Mr. Karan Thakkar
founded EcoCentric in 2011, which is now one of India’s largest e-waste
recycling companies. Mr. Thakkar received the Indian Leadership Award in
2014.
