Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), the theory of strong interaction plays an important role at the Large Hadron Collider. Precise results that are available exhibit rich infrared (IR) structure of the theory. In this talk, we will discuss the universal structure and factorisation properties of IR divergences of QCD amplitudes within the perturbative framework and show how one can resume large logarithmic contributions resulting from threshold effects for some of the important observables such as inclusive cross section and rapidity distribution in Higgs and Drell-Yan productions. We also comment on the connection between IR structures of QCD and N=4 Super Yang Mills theory.
