Description |
Ground level enhancements (GLEs) are rare events wherein the flux of charged particles on the surface of Earth is enhanced due to various solar activities. The identification of these events is a chal- lenge due to presence of numerous other variations in the flux of cosmic rays observed at the Earth. The correlation of GLEs with solar flares is very complex and I will explore this relationship based on some of the recent work using intensity and time dependent correlations. |
