B mode polarization of CMB: A clinching window for Hemispherical Asymmetry

Description
Statistical Isotropy (SI) and homogeneity of space are fundamental assumptions of standard cosmological models. But the temperature field of cosmic microwave background indicates to violate one of these assumptions. Both WMAP and Planck have measured a significant departure from SI temperature field, indicating a 7% dipole modulation over the SI temperature sky. The exact origin of this effect remain an enigma for more than a decade. In the talk, speaker will describe a model, explaining the possible origin of SI violation from the initial inhomogeneities during inflation. Initial inhomogeneities during inflation can lead to SI violation at large angular scales in both scalar and tensor perturbations, which can be measured from future missions. Speaker will delineate that B modes can be the clinching window to understand the origin of SI violation for both scalar and tensor sector. Direction dependence of cosmological parameters arising from SI violation will also be discussed.
