There is an apparent tension between the local measurement of H0 and its high redshift measurement using CMB by Planck. Also the measurement of the baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) feature fixes the product of the Hubble constant H0 and the acoustic scale rd. Fixing H0, one can fix rd and this results another tension between BAO measurements and Planck. Here we discuss whether going beyond ΛCDM can fix these tensions. We also discuss whether there is sufficient evidence at present for a evolving dark energy compared to ΛCDM.
