Ward Identity related to the asymptotic symmetry of S matrix plays an important role in understanding the infrared structure of gauge theory and gravity. However, the S matrix is infrared divergent in four dimensions due to massless particles in the theory. Faddeev and Kulish have developed a formalism to construct infrared finite S matrix by working with asymptotic states instead of Fock states. In this talk, I will discuss the Ward identity in these asymptotic states in the context of QCD.
