Description
The predictions of the standard model (SM) have been verified to a remarkable degree of accuracy, but there remain still some unanswered questions. Neutrino and dark matter offer great potential for digging out the physics beyond the standard model. Among the several detector technologies, the Liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber (LArTPC) detector with its full 3D imaging, excellent particle identification capability and precise calorimetric energy reconstruction, represents one of the most advanced experimental technology for the search of physics beyond standard model. In this talk, I will discuss about the importance of LArTPC technology to the neutrino physics as well as how one can search for the dark matter using the same existing setup for neutrino experiment.
