Description
India's first space-based multi-wavelength observatory, AstroSat will complete five years in space on 28 September 2020. Ultra-Violet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) is one of the five payloads onboard AstroSat and has already produced several exciting science results. In this talk, I will present some preliminary results from my work using UVIT data: (i) study the multiple stellar populations in intermediate-age star cluster in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), (ii) study the effect of tidal interaction between Magellanic Clouds by probing recent star-forming regions in the outskirts of the SMC, and (iii) study UV properties of accretion in young T-Tauri stars.
