Complex Langevin dynamics with stochastic quantization can be used to study quantum field theories with complex actions. This method can open up a promising direction in the study of non-perturbative physics of QCD at finite density and temperature. We discuss some simple lower-dimensional quantum field theory models with complex actions and show that complex Langevin dynamics can capture the physics reliably. These are the situations where the traditional Monte Carlo simulations fail. We explore models exhibiting non-perturbative supersymmetry breaking. We also discuss a complex unitary matrix model, which serves as an effective description of a QCD at finite density and temperature with arbitrary number of colors and quark flavors, defined on a compact manifold. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuy4v5vqraU |
