Description |
Recently, Fermilab has announced a new measurement of the magnetic moment of muon to more than one-in-a-billion accuracy, made at the “Muon g-2” experiment. While confirming the earlier measurement at the Brookhaven National Lab, it has also strengthened the discrepancy with the theoretical calculation of g-2, also made with the same accuracy. This talk will discuss the physics behind the anomalous magnetic moment of muon, and some theoretical as well as experimental aspects of its determination.
