Description
Quantum criticality is one of the most popular aspects of modern quantum many body physics. In this talk I will give an overview of its applications in solid state physics. In particular I would like to discuss advances in our theoretical understanding, as well as recent progress in identifying quantum critical phenomena both in experiments on complex materials and numerical simulations of model quantum Hamiltonians.
