Description
The material of the living cell is driven out of equilibrium by energy
consuming processes. The collective behaviour of such systems is
described by active hydrodynamics. We will use this to study the
steady state organization and dynamics of molecules on the two
dimensional cell surface. We will use ideas from information theory to
show that this dynamic organization is a solution of an error
optimization problem.
