Description
A spatially extended system often involves a large number of degrees
of freedom that are strongly interacting with one another. Here, we
analyze the dynamics of a tagged monomer of an elastic chain of
polymers. In the case of free evolution, the monomer displays
subdiffusive behavior. In presence of a quench/resetting protocol, our
exact solution shows that the system displays strong memory-dependent
relaxation and nontrivial out-of-equilibrium steady states.
