Options in voice communication

The technology behind voice communication service, offered over a pair of copper wire by service providers like MTNL / BSNL, is nearing its end. EPABX (Electronic Private Automatic Branch Exchange) installed, a decade ago, in the institute falls in the same class of equipment used by MTNL / BSNL. Some of the EPABX manufacturers have closed their manufacturing units as enterprise units and service providers moving to new technology. We have options to change our voice communication platform. I will highlight the positive and negative side of the new technology in this talk. CCCF team will demonstrate the VoIP service running on open source switching software.
