Challenges and prospects for the Indo-French scientific and technological cooperation

India and France have a long shared history of scientific and technological cooperation. This colloquium aims in the first part to present some examples of this cooperation, as well as the challenges and opportunities for the future, both in terms of domains and topics, mobility of students and researchers or partnership with companies. The second part will be devoted to the presentation of the different tools to facilitate this cooperation. 





About Dr Sandrine Maximilien:

Dr Sandrine Maximilien obtained a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Town Planning, followed by a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and Design at INSA Lyon (National Institute of Applied Sciences Lyon France). She got a position of associate Professor and she led her research work in the field of materials for construction. After completing her « Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches » (HDR), she spent about 5 years in Vietnam as expert for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She was Project Manager of a training program for Vietnamese engineers. She then returned to France where she was during 4 years deputy Director of international affairs at INSA Lyon as well as researcher in the lab Mateis and teacher in the Department of Civil Engineering and Town Planning. She joined the Science Department of the French Embassy in India in September 2014.
