Description
An ecologist once stated: “if we were in the precarious situation, forcing us to choose a unique country to protect from a nuclear blast, then that country would have to be Peru. With it we could soon recover most of the eco-systems as well as living creatures of the world”. It is easy to see why. Some of the deepest canyons, the highest plateaus and lakes, the densest rain forests, the driest deserts, and the largest volcanoes are found in a country roughly 40% the size of India. Add to these an incredibly rich biodiversity and the majestic remnants of one of the great civilizations of the past (the Incas), and one might just start to appreciate the amazing diversity of this country. During this presentation, I propose to accompany you on a photo-tour of Peru and try to uncover a bit of its unique culture, heritage and unparalleled natural beauty.
