Description
Dark Energy Survey (DES) is an ongoing cosmological survey which will image 5000 sq. degrees of the sky in the optical bands. DES is operated at the Blanco telescope in Chile. I will present a brief overview of the survey, which will make fundamental contributions to our understanding of cosmology in the coming years. DES is designed to provide constraints on the dark energy in the Universe and the evolution of dark energy density as a function of redshift. This survey has a few science observables which include the weak lensing, baryon acoustic oscillation, clusters and supernovae. I will present the main results from the DES Science Verification data of 150 sq. degrees. I will also talk about the initial mass map made from the WL analysis of SV data.
