This talk would trace the research journey of the speaker starting from Astrophysics to Nuclear Fusion to Planetary Exploration to Agriculture, wild life tracking, disability sector and brain computer interface.

About Prof Prabhat Ranjan:

Prof Prabhat Ranjan was a full time scientist working on Nuclear Fusion in National Labs(SINP and IPR) in India and USA(LBL) and made major contributions to this field for nearly two decades till 2002. He was Project Leader of ADITYA Tokamak and SST-1 Operations and Control Group at IPR. From 2002-13, he was Professor at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of ICT, Gandhinagar. His research area spanned a number of fields such as  Moon Mission, Wildlife Tracking, Nuclear Fusion, Assistive Technologies and Agriculture. 

Prof Ranjan obtained his PhD from Berkeley and did college education from Kharagpur and Delhi University. He is well known for  many innovations, which have helped to put smiles on the faces of persons with severe disability. He has received many awards for his contribution to Science and Technology and contribution to society.
