Description
Deep inelastic scattering can be studied at energies far above that available at the LHC, using cosmic neutrinos detected by astroparticle experiments. IceCube has measured the cross-section and inelasticity distribution upto ~103 TeV, and found it to be consistent with pQCD at NLO.At higher energies there may be signals of new physics both in and beyond the SM which can be probed using the ~107 TeV `cosmogenic’ neutrino flux that we hope to detect with next-generation experiments.
