Modelling moderately eccentric inspirals

Description
The third observational run of the advanced LIGO and advanced VIRGO detectors is currently underway. The LIGO Scientific Collaboration (LSC) plans to employ computationally efficient Inspiral-Merger-Ringdown waveform families to detect gravitational waves from compact binaries coalescing along quasi-eccentric orbits. Computationally efficient ready-to-use Fourier domain eccentric inspiral templates is a crucial ingredient while constructing such waveform families. In this talk, I will first update about our recently developed amplitude corrected analytic Fourier domain gravitational waveforms relevant for compact binaries inspiraling along precessing low to moderately eccentric orbits and its implications. I will describe in detail our on-going efforts to derive a computationally simpler inspiral GW templates using Pade approximants, relevant for compact binaries spiraling along moderate to highly eccentric orbits. Additionally, I will briefly update about my commitments to the LSC that includes developing a way to distinguish neutron star-neutron star binaries from black hole-neutron star binaries from their inspiral gravitational waves.
