Description
Murray Gell-Mann (1929-2019, Nobel Laureate 1969, Honorary Fellow of TIFR) was a high energy theorist who played an important role in the process of constructing the Standard Model of particle physics. He worked on strong interactions, weak interactions, and even on new physics that may give rise to neutrino masses. The three talks in this special ASET colloquium will focus on the physics and personality of this multifaceted physicist.

o Strong interactions (30 min)
    Prof. Sourendu Gupta, TIFR, Mumbai
o Weak interactions (30 min)
    Prof. Amol Dighe, TIFR, Mumbai
o Physics, complexity and personal interactions (60 min)
Prof. Probir Roy, Bose Institute, Kolkata
