Description
The blazars provide fascinating laboratories for understanding a variety of physical processes occurring in nature. They are engines of exotic particle accelerations which give rise to radiative output ranging from radio to very high energy gamma-rays (TeV), mostly characterized by the non-thermal processes. Active Galaxies are thought to be one of the main contributors of the extra-galactic cosmic rays. In the last couple of years, we have made significant advances in the theoretical understanding of prospective physical mechanisms responsible for particle accelerations during flares in blazars. In this talk, I plan to give an overview of various processes with a number of simple examples.
