As the LHC experimental programme is within a visible distance from its end, the next world facility is in discussion. Future Circular Collider (FCC) is one of the proposals for the future of high energy physics. Lack of experimental evidence for theories of extension to the standard model, compounded by the lack of theory guidance and the sheer scale of future projects represent huge challenges that all future facilities have to confront. The FCC proposal offers the highest performance for the Higgs sector in the market today and lays a clear path for a hundred-TeV-plus future hadron collider by using existing technology and pushing it to its limit. A unique feature of FCC is its ability to make electroweak sector measurements with unprecedented accuracy. FCC has recently released a conceptual design report and is one of the leading projects for the future endorsed by the European strategy for particle physics. This talk will review some of the physics potential, the main engineering challenges and the current status of the project.
