A school on long-range interacting systems is being organized in TIFR, Mumbai during the period 23 September 2024 – 4 October 2024. The school will serve as a precursor for a conference on long-range systems to be held at NORDITA, Sweden in the week 21-24 July 2025, as a Satellite Meeting of Statphys29. Statphys is the largest triennial conference of Statistical Physics (with ~ 1000 participants typically), and its 29th version will be held during 13 – 18 July, 2025 in Florence, Italy. Lecturers and topic of lectures in the school are the following: Alessandro Silva, SISSA, Italy - Keldysh formalism; Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi, University of Kyoto, Japan - Classical long-range systems and kinetic theory; Subroto Mukerjee, IISc, Bangalore, India - Quantum dynamics; Lea Santos, University of Connecticut, USA - Chaos and thermalization; Michael Kastner, Stellenbosch University, South Africa & Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg, Germany - Quantum long-range systems Topics to be covered: Thermodynamics and dynamics in classical long-range systems Nonequilibrium quantum many-body dynamics Pre-thermalisation, chaos and eigenstate thermalization Applications for participation are being invited from Masters and Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty members who are working in related fields. Application deadline: 1st August, 2024 Visit school website for registration details: https://sites.google.com/view/longrangeschooltifr2024
