Description |
Organs and tissues in animal bodies have distinct forms. Acquisition and maintenance of the tissue forms require individual cells to modulate and maintain their sizes and shapes during development of an organism. In addition, functioning of some of the tissues, especially epithelial tissues, require the apical side of the cells to be modified into surface projections. In my talk, I will discuss how cells maintain their sizes and shapes and form apical surface projections and why it is important to maintain these cellular features. |
