Science of Learning: Research to Help Every Child Learn with Understanding

by Mr. Sridhar Rajagopalan (Managing Director, Educational Initiatives)

Friday, February 11, 2011 from to (Asia/Kolkata)
at Colaba Campus ( AG-66 )
Description
The goal that every child should be learning with understanding should be a societal mission. But if we have to achieve this goal, this has to be backed by a significant amount of specialised research that includes, but is much more than technology, teaching methods and approaches. At Educational Initiatives, we have been doing this research focussing on how children learn, unearthing student misconceptions and discovering learning and remedial paths. This is used in assessment products, providing teacher support and technology-based learning products. These experiences both in private and government schools will be shared and used to build a case for the creation of a new discipline called the Science of Learning.
