Description
I'll review an unexpected theoretical discovery of a mass dimension one
quantum field of spin one half. The field is fermionic, and it carries
several unusual properties. The new field lives in the same representation
space as the Dirac and Majorana fields and yet it is not annihilated by
the Dirac operator. Among the standard model fields its dominant coupling
is with the Higgs. Its also enjoys an un-supressed quartic self coupling.
The new particle carries possibility of its detection at LHC.
