Study of magnetic transition in RPtIn4 and LPCMO thin film

Description
Single crystals of RPtIn4 (R=La,Ce,Yb, and Eu) were grown first time by using flux method. The single crystals were probed down to low temperatures and high field for possible existence of magnetic transition. I will be discussing the route for synthesis for these compounds and effect of preparation condition on crystal structure.

On other hand I will discuss the first order antiferromagnetic insulating to ferromagnetic metallic transition in LPCMO thin film using magnetic force microscopy. The nucleation and growth of the FMM phase has been found different for the temperature and the magnetic field induced transition.
