Description
One of the most successful method to quantify the structures in the
Cosmic Web is the Minkowski Functionals. We have developed a powerful
diagnostic SURFGEN, a method to calculate the Minkowski Functionals
and shapefinders (ratio of Minkowski Functionals) using triangulated
polyhedral surface (contours). The triangulated polyhedral surface
(contour) is generated from a discrete data set using Marching cube
(Marching square) algorithm. Applying SURFGEN to different data sets
we obtain interesting results related to the geometry, morphology and
topology of the large scale structure.
