The mm-wave sky at high resolution: recent results from the South Pole Telescope

Description
At arcminute resolution, CMB experiments measure primordial fluctuations as well as the imprint of galaxies, galaxy clusters and gravitational lensing. With the South Pole Telescope surveying hundreds of square degrees (thus far) at multiple wavelengths, we have detected many galaxies and massive galaxy clusters, as well as the unresolved backgrounds due to the CMB, faint point sources, and intermediate-mass galaxy clusters.
