Description |
After the discovery of the Higgs boson by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the CERN LHC, studies and measurements of the properties of the newly discovered particle have come into prominence. The production of the Higgs boson in association with a pair of top quarks (ttH) is a rare process that gives direct access to the coupling of the Higgs boson with the top quark at the tree level, and it is of particular interest since the top quark could play a special role in the context of electroweak symmetry breaking due to its large mass. Also, any deviation in the cross section of this process from the value predicted by the standard model could provide hints of new physics. The search for the production of the Higgs will be presented using data recorded by the CMS experiment in proton-proton collisions at center of mass energy of 13 TeV during 2016. The general measurements of the Higgs boson in the diphoton final state will also be discussed along with recent results on the search for ttH in other final states at CMS. |
