Description
In the recent years, the design and interfacing of key components: housing, voltage divider, high voltage supply and electronics in photomultiplier based light detection instrumentation has become an important responsibility of the photomultiplier manufacturer – whether it’s for industrial or scientific purposes. The advantage of this approach is that it provides an integrated set of electronics that’s optimised for a customer’s particular application.

ET Enterprises specialises in electronics development for photomultipliers. Our high voltage power supply range consist of ultra-low power consumption, active (FET based), and those embracing the direct CW based power supplies. Techniques for evaluating the performance of these power supplies is the key to our success in delivering efficient and low noise designs for specific applications. Our signal conditioning electronics for fast transient signals, photon counting and analogue applications include amplifiers, amplifier discriminators and counter timers. These devices come in a fully integrated detector module form. Key feature of modules is that they can be pre-set by us to any agreed sensitivity for a specific application. Some examples of successful application specific electronic designs for photomultipliers include detector modules with an overflow flag for clinical analysers, Multi-Channel Analyser (MCA) for scintillation spectroscopy and pollution detector for environmental monitoring.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Thushari Gomes did B.E in Electrical Engineering and PhD in Bioengineering from University of Auckland, New Zealand. Thushari worked as a development engineer for a tech company in Auckland, specialising in designing wireless power supplies for commercial and industrial applications. She joined ET Enterprises in 2011 as an Electronics Design Engineer. She is currently the Electronics Business Development Manager at ET Enterprises.
